2013 NCAA FBS Rankings: Week 10

We're starting to come down to the home stretch in the college football season. Most of the have-nots have been weeded out, and early yesterday I came out with new playoff seedings through 9 weeks of games.

So as we start Week 10 today, I should get back to schedule analysis. We don't have many more out of conference games, but for the independents, this is kind of important, and it's also good to document all the late-season cupcake feasting that happens (looking at you, SEC...)

So below you can find this week's numbers, as well as how each conference now stacks up to this point in the season. You can find last week's rankings here.

 1. Conference USA (0.21, 7.21; LW: 1). UTEP visits Texas A&M.
2. MAC (0.00, 6.46; LW: 2). No change.
3. Sun Belt (0.38, 6.38; LW: 3). Texas State visits Idaho and Louisiana-Lafayette hosts New Mexico State.
4. Mountain West (0.08, 5.42; LW: 4). Air Force hosts Army.
5. American Athletic (0.00, 5.10; LW: 5). No change.
6. Big Ten (0.00, 4.17; LW: 6). No change.
7. SEC (0.00, 3.50; LW: 7). Texas A&M hosts UTEP, but this is offset by Kentucky's FCS matchup.
8. ACC (0.00, 3.29, LW: 8). No change.
9. Pac-12 (0.00, 3.00; LW: 9). No change.
10. Big 12 (0.00, 2.80; LW: 10). No change.

The standings stay the same again, which made this pretty painless. I've lost count on teams that have played FCS squads this season though. Old Dominion basically has a slate full of them, but they aren't that great this year (possibly since they're making that transition up now).

After this weekend's games I'll be back at sorting through the winners and losers to update playoff points and thus the seedings for the Death to the BCS Playoffs. Tomorrow you can visit Someone Still Loves You, Alberto Riveron to find my and Nathaniel's Week 9 NFL picks.
