2022 COAS Pigskin Pick 'Em: Week 12

We're on accelerated deadlines this week, so the coalition returns a day early with our Week 12 NFL picks!

I would have loved to continue our tradition from the last couple of years and do this in podcast form, but unfortunately I was occupied by the Battle of Chicago-Maple Avenue, and didn't have the bandwidth for it. Thankfully, Adam and Joe were accommodating with the schedule adjustment.

Speaking of, I grabbed four of seven from Adam, Joe took two of three from me, and he took five of eight from Adam last week. My lead remains at three games in the group, while Adam has fallen into last place. You can view how we've picked in relation to each other here; Adam split four hero picks last week to help bring our group record to 35-24 in hero games, which is really good. Adam has also been tracking home/road favorite/underdog splits, as well as by timeslots.

As we return to a full schedule at least for one week, Adam and I disagree on six games (he guessed seven when he sent me his stuff on Tuesday afternoon), Joe and I on four, and Adam and Joe on six out of 16. Let's get to it! From all of us at Confessions of a Sportscaster, have a happy Thanskgiving!

2022 COAS Pigskin Pick 'Em: Week 11

The coalition is back at it again as we return for another week of picking NFL games against the spread!

On the whole we've been improving and slowly working our way into better records for the most part. Or at least, I have, as I'm now just two games under .500 after grabbing four of seven disputed games from Adam and sweeping the two with Joe, while Adam took five of his nine with Joe last week.

You can view how we've all pick in relation to each other here, and Adam is maintaining a list of how we've picked both by time slot as well as with regards to home/road favorites/underdogs.

This week, Adam and I disagree on seven games, Joe and I on three, and Joe and Adam on eight games out of 14. Let's get to it!

2022 COAS Pigskin Pick 'Em: Week 10

The coalition is back and we're set to begin the second half of our season of picks against the spread!

After having to fight with Google a little bit (read: click "Review" in the editing window) with our Week 9 post because of something that got flagged as "sensitive content" even though there was no such content, we went live uncensored around when the Thursday night game kicked off. Last week, I took four of six games from Adam, two of three from Joe, and Joe grabbed four of seven.

That gives me a pretty sizable column lead, though the group itself is still fairly close, as my current margin is just a few games over the next person. You can view how we've all picked in relation to each other here. and Adam is tracking how we've all done in regards to a combination of home/road and favorite/underdog picks, as well as a breakdown of how we've done by timeslot.

As we look ahead to our first double digit week, we might see some movement as Adam and I disagree on seven games, Joe and I on just two, and Adam and Joe on a staggering nine out of 14. Let's get to it!

2022 COAS Pigskin Pick 'Em: Week 9

It seems like the coalition is starting to find its footing as we enter our ninth week of picking NFL games against the spread!

It was a pretty good week on the whole for pretty much everyone involved. I can't complain in the grand scheme of things given my spot atop the group standings. Column-wise, I like where I'm at after having taken four of six disputed games from Adam, three of four from Joe, and they split their four disputed games, factoring in Adam's last minute change that has been updated on the Week 8 post and is his second of four allotted post-column changes this season.

You can view how we've all picked in relation to each other here; we're slowly climbing up in consensus picks, though hero picks have mostly continued to work fairly well for us. Adam is also charting how we've picked in home/road favorite/underdog scenarios, as well as by game time.

As we get set to finish the first half of the campaign, Adam and I disagree on six games out of 13, Joe and I on three, and Joe and Adam on seven. Let's get to it!
