2021 NCAA NCSS Rankings: Week 7

We're back at it again as we get ready for Week 7. Especially considering Tuesday Night Football is back on the docket... this is kind of important to make sure we're on schedule.

I noticed a bunch of byes this week, which we were definitely due since a majority of the country has played every week to this point. I'm sure we'll see a fair amount more over the next few as we start to get towards the end of the regular season.

So since we're back on schedule, I'm only looking at the games for Week 7 this time around. Let's get to it!

  1. MAC (0.00, 5.75. LW: 1). No non-conference games this week.
  2. Mountain West (0.00, 5.17. LW: 2). No non-conference games this week.
  3. Conference USA (0.00, 5.00. LW: 3). No non-conference games this week.
  4. American Athletic (0.00, 4.55. LW: 4). No non-conference games this week.
  5. Sun Belt (0.10, 4.30. LW: 5). Louisiana-Monroe hosts Liberty.
  6. Big Ten (0.07, 3.57. LW: 6). Wisconsin hosts Army.
  7. SEC (0.00, 3.07. LW: 7). No non-conference games this week.
  8. Big XII (0.10, 2.80. LW: 8). Baylor hosts BYU.
  9. Pac-12 (0.00, 2.58. LW: 9). No non-conerence games this week.
  10. ACC (0.00, 2.50. LW: 10). No non-conference games this week.

Nice and clean this week on the whole. We had a total of four independent teams playing this week, for a gain of one point on average, bringing their score up to 10.57. And this is with Connecticut playing an FCS team, which, by the way, is their second of the season. As such, the Huskies are suspended from the 2021 Death to the BCS Playoffs... not that an 0-7 team with -19 Adjusted Playoff Points was making the playoffs anyway, but still.

Appalachian State and Louisiana play tonight to kick the week off, but I'll back back on Monday with a look at results from the week!
