2016 MLB Predictions: NL East

We're back at it today with another MLB division and my predictions.

After starting out west, I'm doing my third of six previews with the division containing the National League champion from 2015. It's an interesting division with a couple sexy teams followed up by a couple teams that are clearly still in rebuilding mode. Let's take a look at the NL East.

2016 MLB Predictions: AL West

Day 2 of baseball previews is upon us, and I'm back with a look at another division.

I'm starting out on the western edge of the country before swinging out east and then coming back to the heartland of the country this weekend to look at our defending champions as well as some of the other major contenders. Today, however, I remain out towards the Pacific with a look at the AL West.

2016 MLB Predictions: NL West

I've taken a few weeks off from writing in the aftermath of the end of basketball season, just to get a little more free time in. With baseball season nearly upon us though, I find myself having to scramble a little bit.

I'm excited for the season to get underway, as after a few dismal years on the north side of Chicago, there's an elite team playing at Clark and Addison. I'll have more on them in a few days.

As is my tradition, I will do a division a day, alternating leagues and ending with the division containing the defending champion. This year, with the champions coming out of the Central, I have to start on one coast or the other, and this year I'm opting for the west coast. Let's take a look at the NL West.

2016 NCC Men's Basketball Recap

I wanted to wait on posting this for a couple days. I didn't watch the game live, but I followed North Central's NCAA Tournament game on live stats a bit here and there, and followed a bit of the commentary on Twitter. On Sunday, I watched the entirety of the game. I then needed a little bit of time, with all of this, to digest what I had seen and read to really come up with an accurate piece to go with the end of another basketball season.

Put On Your Dancing Shoes

The wait was not very long in Naperville. With bated breath, members of North Central's men's basketball team gathered in the Cardinal Room in Merner Fieldhouse to watch the NCAA Selection Show this morning. Fortunately, they did not have to wait very long, as the setup of the bracket got the Cardinals on the board within five minutes of the start of the show.

The at large bid marks the first trip to the NCAA Tournament for the Cardinals since that legendary 2013 run to the Final Four, and with the Augustana automatic bid and Elmhurst also getting an at large bid, the CCIW got three teams in for the second straight year. It's a testament to how much of a gauntlet the conference truly is.

North Central is heading up to Wisconsin this weekend to advance, and they avoid both of their conference rivals, who are on the other side of the bracket, as well as Benedictine, who looms as a potential Elite Eight matchup. So as is my tradition, the questions are plentiful. What do we know about North Central's opponents? I dug into the stats and have a preview of the weekend ahead,
