Super Bowl LII Predictions and Prop Bets

And so as Super Bowl Sunday approaches, I need to do one final look at an NFL football game for this season. And as has become tradition, Adam will be joining me once again.

He beat me fair and square in the regular season in our Pigskin Pick 'Em contest, but we always do a special for the Super Bowl with some of the prop bets that you can make. We won't be wagering money; instead we're doing this with a point system: bet 100 points to win however many based on lines from Bovada.

Those will follow below. But first, here's how we're both predicting the Super Bowl to go.

Lucas: Here we go again: upstart team whose core is making its first Super Bowl, going up against the greatest quarterback of all time and arguably the greatest dynasty in NFL history. Last year we had all of the 28-3 chaos and the memes it spawned, chaos that I don't think we can top. But this is going to be a good game: Philly has the pieces on defense that can really mess with what New England likes to do offensively, and Nick Foles has played well enough that he's going to give the Eagles a chance. But we all know how this song and dance goes: Brady and company are going to get a chance to win the game late and will clinically pick the Eagles apart and win with just a few seconds to go, and the Eagles' last gasp will fall just short.
Prediction: Patriots 23, Eagles 19
Adam: It kills me but I am going with the Pats straight up and Brady brings home the MVP.  I do believe this will be one of the most entertaining Super Bowls in a while. From opening kick to final clock tick, including half-time. On the spread I'll take Philly, in a tight game that I hope aligns with my squares picks.
Prediction: Patriots 24, Eagles 23
