We've got a pretty clearly delineated Big Three in terms of conferences. The SEC is tops in three of four categories, and just four-hundredths of a point behind in the fourth category. The Big Ten and Big 12 are not too far behind the SEC on the whole. We'll see as conference play really picks up how much this ends up changing.
Team-wise, Georgia has surged ahead to take the lead in both PP1 and aPP with 15 points, leapfrogging Michigan, with 13. Texas and Iowa are right behind them with 12 (though the Longhorns have only 11 aPP due to an earlier season loss.) On the Second Degree side, UCLA has 6.33 PP2 to lead the nation. There's a six-way tie for second with 5.00 points, including Georgia, Michigan, and one of the big winners from the weekend in Stanford.
Either today or tomorrow I'll follow up with Week 6 NCSS numbers, and then following the weekend we'll be back with updated Playoff Points figures!
