2021 NCAA NCSS Rankings: Week 8

I'm trying to move on quickly as it's time to get a look in at the upcoming schedule for Week 8!

I'm sure we're going to have more byes this week as things start to even out a little bit, but since we're now well into the thick of the conference race, there will be minimal changes in conference scores here.

So below, let's take a look at the games that will change any numbers among the conference for this coming week.

1. MAC (0.00, 5.75. LW: 1). No non-conference games this week.
2. Mountain West (0.08, 5.25. LW: 2). Hawaii hosts New Mexico State.
3. Conference USA (0.21, 5.21. LW: 3). Middle Tennessee visits UConn, and North Texas hosts Liberty.
4. American Athletic (0.00, 4.55. LW: 4). No non-conference games this week.
5. Sun Belt (0.10, 4.30. LW: 5). Louisiana-Monroe hosts Liberty.
6. Big Ten (0.00, 3.57. LW: 6). No non-conference games this week.
7. SEC (-0.07, 3.00. LW: 7). Arkansas hosts FCS Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
8. Pac-12 (0.25, 2.83. LW: 9). Washington State hosts BYU, and USC visits Notre Dame.
9. Big XII (0.00, 2.80. LW: 8). No non-conference games this week.
10. ACC (0.21, 2.71. LW: 10). Wake Forest visits Army, and Florida State hosts UMass.

So ultimately, we had just one shuffling of spots this week between Power Five conferences, while the SEC took a step back thanks to their one conference game being an FCS game for the Razorbacks. It's their first of the year, and while I debate about reviving the meme, since Alabama already played their FCS game and it's not the penultimate week of the year, I'll allow it.
